We have an exciting Grounds Maintenance Superintendent opportunity in Guymon, OK. The Grounds Maintenance Superintendent supervises regional grounds maintenance departments in accordance with Seaboard Food's policies and applicable laws. Must know the standard operating procedures of all areas of the grounds maintenance department.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Provides supervision for Grounds Maintenance Supervisors in regional locations and coordinate all field operational activities regarding the Grounds Maintenance department.
  • Capable of operating heavy equipment (motor grader dozer, backhoe, loader, skid loader, tractor, packer, truck and trailer, etc.) and be able to assist in equipment and maintenance troubleshooting.
  • Apply extensive knowledge of soil compaction, topography and landscaping.
  • Apply extensive knowledge of state, federal regulations and procedures.
  • Communicates and coordinates all testing with appropriate agencies and inspectors through the Grounds Maintenance Manager.
  • Control operational expenses, and assist in department budgeting, project and justify additional equipment and resource needs.
  • Schedules day to day activities for the grounds maintenance team and be able to solve problems and evaluate process logistics.
  • Coordinates and conduct effective safety / operational training for all Grounds Maintenance personnel.
  • Coordinates required paperwork and assist office personnel to accurately document field operations.

QUALIFICATIONS



Required:



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or 5 year's related experience or training; or combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess a current valid Class A or Class B CDL driver license and an acceptable MVR.
  • 3+ Years in Leading teams specifically in excavation, construction, ground maintenance or transportation industries
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • 5+ Years in Heavy Equipment and Excavation, including maintenance trouble shooting and operating equipment
  • Knowledge of state, federal regulations and procedures and experience Communicating and coordinates with appropriate agencies
  • Ability to be on call as needed.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is commonly exposed to airborne particles and gases at low concentrations. The employee is frequently exposed to waste material, feed and hog dust.
  • The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested.
