Fulltime, benefits eligible role Days/Hour: Mon - Fri 8:00am to 5:pm
Assists in the development and maintenance of the data platform. Ensures existing data integrations and processes operate accurately and efficiently. Cleans, manipulates, and models data from health plans, state partners, and EMRs to create maximum value.
Essential Functions:
- Assists with developing project plans including scoping, programming tasks, implementation plans, time estimates, and schedules.
- Develops code and reviews systems to meet needs in a variety of platforms.
- Identifies and quantifies data issues and assists in development plans.
- Supports maintenance of the analytic systems data dictionaries.
- Supports regular data management processes and ad hoc user requests.
- Works with both clinical and research data while keeping PHI exposure to a need-only basis.
Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree required. Preferred fields of study include Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Services. Skills:
- Intermediate SQL skills required, including stored procedures. SQL Server or Oracle preferred.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to test and validate data, as well as evaluate and understand large and complex information sets.
- Ability to assist in large-scale, multi-site, projects and balance short-term deliverables while building longer-term scalable solutions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of data warehousing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the
ability to interact with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Experience:
- 2 years of experience in development, required.
- 1 year of recent and relevant experience within an Oracle/SQL Server environment, required.
- 1 year of experience in health care environment, required.
- Experience working with data warehouse, OLTP, and OLAP environments, required.
- Development experience in Python, preferred.
- Common data model experience, preferred.
