Entry Level Azure Engineer - Intern Conversion

Bachelor's in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, Information Technology, or a related field is required and at least zero to one year of related work experience

Overview:
A Azure/Cloud Computing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloudbased solutions to support the company's mission-critical systems. This involves evaluating and
selecting appropriate cloud platforms, migrating on-premises workloads to the cloud, ensuring
security and compliance, and optimizing cloud resources for cost and performance. The Cloud
Computing Specialist works closely with cross-functional teams to understand business
requirements and deliver innovative cloud solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Project: Increasing AI adoption and AI Operations in Enterprise Azure and Storage services

• Azure
• Architecture Design of Azure AI Foundry
• Implementation of an Azure Triage Bot
• Exploration of MCP server use cases in Azure Gov Cloud
• Storage
• Daily check workflow automation
• Use of MCP-enabled AI agents in enterprise storage tools
• Implementing backup policy management in terraform

Azure Landing Zone Engineer

The IT Azure Landing Zone team is seeking a new member to develop architectural and automation solutions that move GDMS forward in the cloud. Taking this position you will collaborate with a dedicated and self-motivated team that upholds a culture of ownership and interdependence.

Working as an Azure Landing Zone Engineer you'll perform a wide range of development and operational duties across the Azure platform. Our Landing Zone is built security, compliance, and performance first and architected to be operated and governed at scale. We are constantly improving our automation posture using Terraform, Azure Runbooks, Powershell scripts, and APIs across IT in order to better deliver cloud hosting and native solutions to IT and its customers.

Skills You'll Bring to the Table

• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent years of experience
• Understanding of Azure cloud computing concepts
• Experience with scripting languages
• Familiarity with agile product development
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices
• Experience with Windows or Unix system administration tasks
• Leadership, public speaking and presenting experience
• A self-motivated and independent work ethic and a desire to solve hard problems

Target salary range: USD $58,256.00/Yr. - USD $99,035.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
