Job Title: Sr. Director Network Engineering

What we're seeking:

The Network Engineering Sr. Director is responsible for overseeing the performance of Frontiers network and reporting to leadership on results and performance. The position will be required to rapidly respond to network service disruptions and drive improvements to raise customer satisfaction. The Sr Director will oversee the life cycle of network incidents from surveillance, triage, notifications, repair, and resolution. The position will also drive lessons learned, communications of findings and implementation of overall corrective actions between stakeholders to prevent future occurrences. The role will also advocate for the improvement of automation and refinement of NOC systems, tools and reporting utilities. In addition, the position will lead a department of business analysts to deliver KPI's to business stakeholders, manage employee development and performance management for the NOC. The position will also be accountable for the performance of our vendors and outside services providers to ensure we are receiving the appropriate services levels.

What we need in you:

The Sr. Director coordinates with Network Operations, All Engineering verticals, Customer Support teams (TSO & ATS), Construction, Field OPS, strategic sourcing, teams to establish cross-functional processes and procedures.

A successful candidate for this position must be comfortable working with vendors and our internal business partners, at all levels within the company.

What you'll do:



  • Provide leadership and set performance standards for the Frontier network
  • Mentor team members and business partners
  • Resolve complex issues
  • Establish and maintain standardized practices & procedures for network operations as well as with cross-functional teams
  • Monitor and report on network performance to leadership
  • Steer Network Tool development and Automation priorities



What background you should have:



  • 10 years of experience in network engineering or operations
  • 5+ years of Director/Sr. Director level experience leading multi-functional technical teams
  • 10 years of leadership experience
  • 5-10 years of experience with network automation, tools, or related development experience



ESSENTIAL JOB KNOWLEDGE:



  • Strong knowledge of Telecommunications systems associated with transport, data and voice networks
  • Understanding of outside plant records, cable design, and repair
  • Ability to analyze network data to clearly identify network trends, impacts to the business, options to mitigate and consequences of any actions.

  • Ability to communicate succinctly both in writing and orally with upper management, internal business partners and vendors
  • Ability to drive team's focus and vision
