We have an opening for a National Curriculum Specialist within our Intervention and Supplemental Group. This individual will have a background specialized in K-12 Literacy. As a Curriculum Specialist, you will serve as the Subject Matter Expert regarding McGraw Hill's Direct Instruction and Supplemental Math Products, by providing thorough product training and presentations to prospective customers to drive increased sales revenue.

How will you make an impact?

You will partner with McGraw Hill's K-12 Field Sales Representatives across the country in promoting our Literacy products with new and existing customers. This position will also serve as the liaison between our Marketing and Academic Design Teams to support training, sales presentations, and marketing message creation.

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. Candidates are required to travel about 80% of the week throughout the United States. Candidates must live within 1 hour of a major airport. We require candidates to have a valid driver's license with the ability to drive a car if needed.

What you'll be doing:

  • Fostering relationships and leveraging knowledge to increase sales.
  • Making highly effective presentations of our products to large audiences including School Administrators, Educators, Technology Directors, Department Chairs.
  • Conducting professional development and in-service training of all products for new and current users.
  • Demonstrating a thorough understanding of all products.
  • Building strong relationships with sales team members.

A successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of teaching experience required.
  • Background in literacy required.
  • Strong sales presentation skills required.
  • Experience teaching in Direct Instruction and Open Court Reading is strongly preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must live within 60 miles of a major metropolitan airport.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Knowledge of MS Office programs (especially PowerPoint)
  • Comfortable with Google Docs
  • Tech-savvy and quick to learn new programs; experience with Learning Management Systems is ideal

The pay for this position is $62,000-$82,000 annually, however, base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sales commission plan will be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
