Description

Position Summary:

Golden Wolf, LLC is seeking highly motivated, versatile Technical Writers to produce high-quality documentation (policy and standard operating procedures) for organizational infrastructure. You will join a team of talented professionals who work collaboratively with organizational and technical subject matter experts and process engineers to provide the infrastructure for our government client. Organizational areas include health facility planning, real property management, information technology, health facility design, programming, construction management, organization-wide budgeting and financing, healthcare facility operations, and management.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop policies and procedures that are necessary to implement critical initiatives, as they relate to the Facilities Enterprise Activity
  • Plan, develop, organize, write, and edit operational procedures, policies, and manuals
  • Respond to new regulations, government-issued directives, and other external mandates that require our government client to establish or modify its policies and procedures.
  • Respond to client requests to draft new policies and procedures or to revise existing publications.
  • Schedule individual meetings, as well as policy workgroup meetings, with relevant Facilities Enterprise Activity Branches, sections, and offices to discuss policies and procedures that need to be created or revised.
  • Conduct follow-up, via telephone, email, and/or additional meetings, to assist in moving policies and procedures forward through the development process.
  • Support and participate in projects that relate to changes in policy and procedures, as well as training sessions on newly developed procedures.
  • Conduct research and review applicable laws and regulations to inform agency policies
  • Produce electronic documentation as well as hard copy materials as required
  • Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style and content
  • Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers or establishment personnel

Job Type: COA - Contingent On Award of the project, On-site

Travel Requirements: Up to 25% of work time

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Knowledge of government facilities, enterprise functions, statutes, regulations, and policies
  • Prefer government experience in the fields of: Facilities Management, Real Property Management, Federal Lease Policies and Procedures, Government Budgeting, Financing, and POM, Real Property Data Analytics
  • Proven experience working in a technical writing position
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work with leadership at various levels in the DoD
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences.
  • Skilled in prioritization and multi-tasking
  • Must be a US Citizen

Education:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college in (Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Nursing, Business, or Liberal Arts), or;
  • Three years of experience within MHS Healthcare Operations and Facilities Enterprise.
