The Assistant Director, Off-Campus Study is a critical position that operates within the Center for Global Programs at Denison. The role is responsible for advising students through the entire off-campus study process, including program discovery and selection, pre-departure guidance, support throughout the duration of programs, and re-entry. This position serves as a Center liaison to various departments and offices across campus, as well as external to the institution. The Assistant Director should have a comprehensive understanding of the academic and internship components of various off-campus study programs, partners, and providers, and be able to actively contribute to the assessment and improvement of the portfolio to suit the goals of the Center, the university, and Denison students more broadly. The role should expect to work collaboratively with faculty and staff, demonstrate exceptional critical thinking skills, and be excellent in organization and communication.

Responsibilities include:

1. Advise students through the entire off-campus study process, including program discovery and selection, pre-departure guidance, support throughout the duration of a program, and re-entry; serve as an application reviewer for off-campus study applications; communicate rules and parameters around Denison's off-campus study policies to include the home fee financial model;

2. collaborate with various departments and offices across Denison's campus;

3. engage with students in various settings, including information sessions, the Off-Campus Study fair, and one-on-one advising;

4. organize information and programming sessions to promote off-campus study programs across campus;

6. other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree preferred)

Minimum of 2 years working in international education (3+ years working in international and higher education preferred). Excellent communication, organization, and critical thinking skills

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $66,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
