Line Lead

Staffmark is hiring a Line Lead to oversee nightly production operations in Joliet, IL. If you have a strong background in manufacturing or packaging, solid leadership skills, and a commitment to quality and efficiency, this is a great opportunity to take the next step in your career.

Pay: $22.50/hour

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday | 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

The Line Lead is responsible for coordinating daily activities on the production line, ensuring safety, quality, and performance standards are met. This role supports a fast-paced environment and plays a key part in achieving production goals while fostering a positive team culture.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and guide production line staff to meet daily output goals
• Coordinate machine setup, operation, and changeovers
• Monitor line performance to ensure efficiency and product quality
• Perform quality checks and ensure compliance with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices)
• Communicate clearly with team members and leadership about goals and updates
• Troubleshoot basic equipment or process issues and escalate when necessary
• Train team members on responsibilities, safety protocols, and standard procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area following 5S standards
• Accurately document production data, downtime, and incidents
• Assist with additional duties as directed by the Production Supervisor or Manager

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous manufacturing or packaging experience preferred
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience is a strong plus
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, temperature-variable environment
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of GMPs and safety protocols
