Job Summary

The Marketing and Communications Specialist plays a key role in supporting the organization's internal and external communication efforts. This position is responsible for the development and execution of internal communications, management and monitoring of social media channels, coordination and support of employee engagement initiatives, and other tactical communications tasks that contribute to a cohesive brand and employee experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong ability to work cross-functionally across teams, and demonstrate a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset. This role is vital to ensuring clear, consistent, and engaging messaging across the organization.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for designing, creating, and delivering marketing programs to support the growth and expansion of company products and services.
  • Analyzes marketing and promotional needs, and designs and implements marketing communications strategies that support organizational objectives.
  • Drafts marketing communications, including promotional publications, presentations, advertisements, or brochures.
  • Reviews and edits messages to ensure that they are clear, thorough, on-brand, and seek to preserve the company's image.
  • Suggests ways of tailoring messages and delivery channels based on the targeted audience.
  • Collects data on the performance of specific communications or campaigns.
  • Assists in the production of print, online, or other forms of advertisement, and assists with special events or promotions.



Required Qualifications

  • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 0-3 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
  • Discipline/Major: Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
  • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail. Experience developing and executing internal communications strategies. Strong understanding of social media platforms (LinkedIn, X, Facebook) and best practices for content management and engagement. Familiarity with employee engagement initiatives and event coordination. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) to effectively manage content creation, planning, and reporting activities; experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Teams is a plus, but not required.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and positive attitude with a strong team orientation.
  • This role is a full-time, in-office position.


Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
