Salary range:
The salary range for this position is $299,400 - $535,000. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See the Professorial Series (Adjunct, Clinical X, HS Clinical, In Residence, Ladder Rank) and Professor of Teaching Series - Health Sciences Compensation Plan. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. Application Window Open date: August 15, 2025 Next review date: Monday, Sep 15, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Friday, Aug 14, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Hematology/Oncology Division of the Department of Medicine , in partnership with Grant Cooper, at the University of California, Irvine (UC Irvine) and the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center are seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor (HS Clinical or Clinical X track) to hold the Stern Endowed Chair in Genitourinary Medical Oncology. Successful candidates will have a proven track record of successful translational and clinical research in genitourinary oncology, including cancers of the kidney, prostate, bladder or testes. Candidates with a strong record of scholarly work, established national and international reputation, and demonstrated ability to work in collaboration with an existing multidisciplinary team (medical oncology, urology, radiation oncology) in a matrix academic health science environment, are strongly encouraged to apply. Criteria for the Professor of Clinical "X" Series: The incumbent Criteria for the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series: The Applicants should have an outstanding record of research, evidence of clinical investigation leadership, must hold an M.D. or equivalent degree with American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) certification and hold ABIM subspecialty certification in Medical Oncology.
