Job Description

Torch Technologies is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to provide daily maintenance, support, and upgrades for the complex network of the Missile Defense Data Center (MDDC) in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). This role will oversee the daily operation and upgrades of the voice and data infrastructure at Redstone Arsenal, ensuring increased capacity, operational efficiency, and secure, scalable solutions for mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily system administration tasks, including maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure.
• Oversee and manage voice and data infrastructure upgrades to improve performance and capacity.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures for mission-critical systems.
• Provide technical support to end-users and coordinate with engineering teams for problem resolution.
• Install, configure, and maintain servers, network devices, and associated hardware/software.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Monitor system performance and implement optimizations for efficiency and reliability.
• Support planning and execution of technology refreshes and future system upgrades.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree preferred, or an Associate Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience. Over 6 years related systems administration experience.
• A minimum Secret level security clearance to access classified information
• Experience in administration of virtual and physical servers across multiple locations
• Ability to configure and maintain the Common Access Card (CAC) system using Axway Validation Authority for secure access.
• Experience managing RSA Token authentication for classified network access.
• Experience patching with Ivanti, ensuring compliance with security updates.
• Demonstrated ability to develop PowerShell scripts to monitor critical services reducing downtime.
