System Administrator

Location: Dahlgren, Virginia

Job Status: Temporary

Clearance: Secret

Astrion is seeking a System Administrator to oversee and manage a server stack in support of A Department, Test and Evaluation. Position is located in Dahlgren, Virginia.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Management and Maintenance of a Windows 16 Server responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server operating systems and physical/virtual servers, including managing user accounts and permissions, ensuring system security, and overseeing backups and disaster recovery systems

Serve as Help Desk representatives supporting the Customer providing Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.

Key duties include:

  • troubleshooting issues
  • monitoring system performance
  • applying software updates and patches
  • managing Active Directory
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems

Job Status: Temporary, roll ends 4 November

Required Qualifications

Batchelor's of Science (BS) in a computer focused technical field

Clearance Requirement: SECRET

Preferred Qualifications

BS in either Cyber Security, Information Systems, or Computer Science
