Overview
Amyx is seeking to hire a Sr. Capture Manager to support our Growth Department headquartered in Reston, VA.
Responsibilities
Lead all phases of the capture lifecycle from opportunity identification through proposal submission
- Analyze customer missions, procurement trends, and technical requirements to shape winning strategies.
- Identify and assess competitive landscape, including likely bidders, strengths, and gaps.
- Develop capture plans, win strategies, and value propositions aligned to customer priorities.
- Partner with Account and BD teams to build and manage opportunity pipelines.
- Work with technical solution architects to shape offerings and delivery approaches.
- Coordinate with Talent Acquisition to identify and vet key personnel early in the process.
- Establish and manage teaming relationships and partner roles.
- Conduct market and customer research to understand organizational structures and mission needs
- Facilitate meetings with customer stakeholders to gather insights and influence requirements.
- Support proposal development through solutioning, content review, and writing support as needed.
- Support a smooth hand-off from capture to proposal and program teams following a win.
- Help ensure solution design and proposal content reflect capture strategy.
- Must have the ability to communicate accurate information
Qualifications
Required:
- Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree (STEM preferred, but not required)
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in:
- Capture management
- Federal business development
- Proposal strategy and support
- Demonstrated experience working with Defense agencies (e.g., Army, Air Force, DISA
- Strong research, competitive analysis, and communication skills
Must have general understanding of technical disciplines associated with at least one of the following software engineering, systems engineering and technical assistance, cybersecurity, or operational technology. Must have general understanding of acquisition strategies and familiarity with major GWACs such as GSA's OASIS+, MAS, Alliant and Agency-specific IDIQs such as DISA ENCORE III, DLA JETS 2.0 etc. Experience working with Subject Matter Experts and Solution Architects to help develop solutions and write technical approaches in support of proposals, RFIs and Whitepapers. Superior business etiquette and demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with a "roll up your sleeves" attitude. Must be detail oriented and able to function effectively in a fast paced, multitasking work environment.
Desired:
- Experience developing LOEs, staffing plans, and proposal volumes.
- Shipley BD and/or Capture training
- Experience working with Subject Matter Experts and Solution Architects to help develop solutions and write technical approaches in support of proposals, RFIs and Whitepapers.
- Familiarity with customers across DoD and the Intelligence Community, including at least one of the following: DTRA, DISA, USTRANSCOM, 4th Estate Agencies, Air Force, and Intelligence Agencies.
