JOB TITLE:

Donor Relations Coordinator

JOB PURPOSE:

Coordinate day-to-day operations and provide administrative support for the donor relations unit. Assist with coordinating and managing stewardship activities associated with expanding and maintaining the donor relationship programs for the University.

To provide high level administrative and project management support for the donor relations department. This position will manage many signature donor relations projects, will assist with donor event/experience execution and will assist the Director of Donor Relations with new strategic donor relations initiatives

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the annual Endowment Report for over 1,900 University of Wyoming donors, overseeing project timelines and coordinating with campus and foundation partners to collect and integrate content. Oversee the creation and delivery of the impact report section, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with donor engagement goals.
  • Manage and execute the annual Non-Endowed Report for approximately 300 University of Wyoming donors, overseeing timelines and coordinating with campus and foundation partners to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
  • Ensure timely and accurate production and distribution of all reports.
  • Continuously evaluate and implement process improvements to enhance report efficiency, transparency, and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and apply best practices and emerging trends in donor stewardship and reporting within the higher education and nonprofit sectors.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing donor events and experiences in collaboration with the Director of Donor Relations, demonstrating sound judgment, creativity, and exceptional donor-focused customer service; requires flexibility for occasional evening and weekend commitments.
  • Manage the UW Foundation acknowledgment letter program, ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient delivery of thank-you letters for every donor gift. Collaborate with the Director of Donor Relations to maintain fresh, creative content aligned with the industry's best practices.
  • Support the education of internal and external partners on the value of donor stewardship and provide tools and resources to empower their active participation in stewardship efforts.
  • Assist the Director of Donor Relations in delivering high-level, personalized stewardship for major and principal gift donors to the University of Wyoming.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree

Experience: 3-5 years of work-related experience

Required licensure, certification, registration or other requirements: None

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience with record maintenance software and systems
  • Experience with managing time and multiple projects
  • Motivated by service to others and collaboration with others
  • Work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in diverse communities
