Overview

Omega Technical Services is seeking a highly skilled Subject Matter Expert (SME) Project Manager to join our team in support of Detonator Production mission requirements at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). In this role, you will be an Omega employee providing project management expertise, advanced scheduling support, and production mission integration within a dynamic DOE/NNSA environment.

The selected candidate will serve as a trusted SME, ensuring production schedules, reporting, and analysis align with LANL mission deliverables and NNSA expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide objective quality checks of production floor schedules to enable effective deconfliction of activities.
• Create, monitor, and implement customized reporting to support effective lot delivery.
• Conduct failure mode analysis regarding schedule delays and impacts.
• Develop and maintain dashboard visualization tools for leadership and stakeholders.
• Document and maintain lessons learned from production and scheduling activities.
• Provide P6 scheduling support, including development of an Integrated Schedule for TA-22 operations.
• Support business travel requirements in support of programs across the organization.
• Contribute to mission maturation efforts, including implementation of Windchill MPMLink at TA-22.

Deliverables

• SME support for integration of new MES system with long-term planning in P6.
• Build-out of long-term schedule fragments to support future production builds.
• Completion of capacity analysis and reporting to NNSA.

• Proven experience as a Project Manager or Scheduling SME in a DOE/NNSA or nuclear/defense production environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling.
• Strong background in project controls, production scheduling, and reporting.
• Ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate complex scheduling data.
• Active DOE Q Clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with LANL production missions or similar DOE/NNSA programs.
• Familiarity with Windchill MPMLink, MES systems, or related production management tools.
• Strong skills in dashboard/reporting visualization (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
• Demonstrated ability to provide SME-level guidance on long-term planning and capacity analysis.
