Genesis10 is currently seeking a Network Architect/ Solution Architect with our client in the financial industry located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract position. Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain our enterprise-level, on-premise network infrastructure Lead the design and development of all aspects of our network, including LAN, WAN, and data center infrastructure Translate business requirements into a comprehensive technical design and solution architecture Act as the primary subject matter expert for network architecture Provide technical leadership to network engineering and operations teams, ensuring all designs adhere to best practices, security standards, and compliance regulations Evaluate and recommend new technologies to optimize network performance, enhance security posture, and improve overall reliability Conduct regular network performance analysis and capacity planning to support business growth Create and maintain detailed network diagrams, design documents, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all on-premise network systems Requirements: 8-10 years of experience in network engineering and at least 3-5 years in a network architecture or solution design role, with a focus on on-premise environments Deep understanding of traditional networking concepts and a proven track record of creating robust, scalable, and secure solutions In-depth knowledge of core routing and switching technologies Expertise in protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP, and extensive experience with Cisco, Juniper, or Arista platforms Strong experience with data center networking, including technologies like spine-and-leaf architecture, FabricPath, and virtualization Deep understanding of network security principles, including extensive hands-on experience with on-premise firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet), intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and site-to-site/remote-access VPNs Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced enterprise environment Pay range: $58.31 - $66.31 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
