Summary
Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, a proud member of the Mass General Brigham (MGB) health system, is committed to fostering a healthier, more active community. The Group Fitness Instructor will play a vital role in supporting this mission by leading and inspiring group fitness classes that cultivate an inclusive, engaging environment promoting physical activity, well-being, and community connection. This position is responsible for delivering dynamic, safe, and motivating classes while building positive relationships with participants. The Instructor will encourage community participation and help individuals work toward their personal fitness goals. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions Plan and lead group fitness classes, including but not limited to aerobics, strength training, yoga, or other exercise modalities. Deliver clear, effective instruction to ensure participants perform exercises safely and correctly. Design and implement fitness programs tailored to a wide range of fitness levels and health conditions. Adapt class content to meet the diverse needs and goals of participants. Foster a welcoming and motivating environment that encourages engagement, confidence, and consistency. Provide modifications and alternatives to accommodate participants with different fitness levels or physical limitations. Promote participation by building relationships, engaging with community members, and highlighting the benefits of an active lifestyle. Education
