Job Summary This position is an opportunity for a talented contracts professional and experienced people manager to serve in an impactful role in the medical device industry supporting ZOLL's Acute Care Technology division. The Senior Director of Global Sales Contracts Administration will lead a team of contracts professionals responsible for negotiating and administering revenue generating commercial contracts at ZOLL. This role collaborates with our Legal, Sales, Marketing, and Finance departments to ensure that sales contracts, proposals, negotiation processes, and contract administration follow company policies and procedures and adhere to legal requirements. This role directs the development of global policies and processes that govern the contracts administration staff and provides guidance on contract terms and the assessment of contract proposals. This role will utilize expert knowledge of a contract life cycle, types of contracts, and applicable government regulations throughout the world to lead and develop strategies for negotiation of complex or high-value contracts and agreements to meet business objectives and streamline and standardize our global contract processes.
Essential Functions
Ensure that operating standards, procedures, and key performance metrics for the Contracts department are consistent with industry best practice. Guide and advise contracts team regarding contract drafting, negotiation, and lifecycle management. Manage escalations and priorities from Sales, collaborate cross functionally with other internal teams to improve processes and achieve company objectives. Lead a global team to:
Prepare and negotiate sales contracts (including direct sales to end customers and distribution agreements). Ensure terms and conditions of all global sales agreements are consistent with business strategies and objectives. Analyze and mitigate potential business risks involved with specific contract terms. Be accountable for the terms and conditions in ZOLL's sales contracts. Timely respond to RFP solicitations and the execution of contracts and supplemental agreements. Manage process for on-boarding business partners. Monitor contracts and agreements to ensure that all deadlines and conditions described in documents are met. Manage the life cycle of sales contracts and distribution agreements. Implement new processes and procedures to ensure standardization and gain efficiency in the contracting process. In conjunction with the legal department, review and update contract and agreement templates. Screen customers and business partners to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Create risk assessments and review with sales leadership to resolve contact disputes during contract negotiations.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree required. MBA and/or J.D. preferred, NCMA certifications is a plus. Experience managing a large team of contracts professionals. 10+ years of qualified experience in contract negotiation, management, and administration.

Capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, growing global environment. Excellent organizational and leadership abilities. Knowledge of industry's legal rules and guidelines. Knowledge of DCMA/DCAA U.S. Government contracting preferred. Experience with international markets.
