As a Security Guard in Corrections in Harvest, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in correctional facility.

As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment at a government location by focusing on access control responsibilities. Your day-to-day activities will include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication while maintaining a visible presence. This position requires the use of technology such as computers or tablets to document activities and respond to alarm panels as needed. As this is a driving post, a valid driver's license in the job state is required. Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
• Assist in implementing and following site-specific security-related procedures and protocols for access control.
• Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting visitors and staff in a professional manner.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to site requirements.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related threats and promote a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
