The District Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing a team of Virtual Sales Representatives to ensure the accurate and on-time completion of assigned projects, provide call monitoring for quality compliance andmeet client needs, metric deliverables and performance expectations. The DM will be currently based remotely.

Essential Services:

  • Provide coaching and support for assigned Virtual Sales Representative team by observing product discussions & selling skills and then providing in-depth and documented feedback.
  • Support the team by managing metrics and sales reporting on a regular basis.
  • Provide administrative oversight such as maintaining documentation of team members' attendance as well as approving time off, schedules & expense reports.
  • Monitor Virtual Sales Representative productivity, workload and outputs ensuring compliance with policies and processes and addressing issues through a corrective action process as they arise.
  • Coordinate the selection, interviewing, hiring and training for backfills and new positions.
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to both interpret and communicate data to team members and client, as well as generate reports in Excel on a frequent basis.
    • Assist in new product, sales, compliance and Amplity/client training for new Virtual Sales Representative.
    • Conduct cube rides and deliver timely and constructive feedback on quality and content of Virtual Sales Representative's calls as per client expectations using approved Coaching Guide forms.
    • Communicate aligned team objectives in ways that promote teamwork and create a strong sense of shared goals among team members.
    • Assess Virtual Sales Representative performance as it pertains to project progress, results and timelines. Create and deliver individual development plans and performance appraisals according to both Amplity and client performance management policies and standards in collaboration with the Senior District Manager.
    • Assist team with utilization of all technology requirements: CRM use, activity reports, sales reports and others as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Key Working relationships:

  • Supervise a team of assigned Virtual Sales Representative.
  • Work closely with Amplity /client's home office support team from various departments.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with customers and client contacts.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of Specialty Sales experience
  • Oncology/rare disease experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of Supervisory or Management experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Broad knowledge of pharmaceutical industry, ideally with a background in Oncology/rare disease.
  • Strong analytical skills in both interpreting and communicating data to members at all levels.
  • Well versed in generating reports requiring a proficiency in Excel.
  • Good supervisory/people management skills.
  • Strong process facilitation, problem solving and analytical thinking abilities to make sound business decisions on a day-to-day basis.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Clear, articulate and grammatically sound speech and professional phone manner.
  • Strong focus on providing customers with superior support and service.
  • Strong rapport-building skills and active listening skills.
  • Excellent selling, closing, persuasion and presentation skills.
  • Ability to display high-levels of initiative, effort and commitment to successfully complete projects and assignments.
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate complex technical/medical terminology and to maintain the required technical expertise including competitive product knowledge.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to multitask and successfully operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be able to deal with people at all levels inside and outside of the company.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and working proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Must be able to successfully complete client training and meet training expectations in order to proceed to servicing client's customers within the parameters of the program

Credentialing Requirements:

As a representative of a pharmaceutical company, you may be required to submit and maintain credentials, such as training, vaccinations, and other job-related documentation to gain access to hospitals or healthcare providers. It is the Company's expectation that you comply with the requirements outlined by the facilities on your call plans.

Additionally, certain geographic jurisdictions or hospital systems have requirements to apply for and obtain a representative license. At this time, representatives working in the District of Columbia, City of Chicago, State of Nevada, State of Oregon, or those associated with Jackson Memorial Health in Miami-Dade County Florida may be required to obtain specific licenses. This list may be subject to change, including the potential for additions or modifications. In the event of any significant changes, you will be notified accordingly.
