Introduction:

The Procurement Professional III will prepare contracts for execution in accordance with Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions' standards, policies, and procedures, will take an active role in driving contract management, risk management, stakeholder management, and supplier management in all contract endeavors. The applicant will also develop and maintain relationships with peers, legal, finance and other internal stakeholders across the Toshiba business areas, and with suppliers. They will also be responsible for related RFx (Request for Information / Proposal / Quote) activities including but not limited to the development, execution and analysis of responses. This individual will also be required to have a full understanding of the areas in which they manage; developing strategies as well as driving results based actions in support of the business units impacted.

Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing Events: Drafting and managing Requests for Information, Requests for Quotation and Requests for Proposals for goods and services end to end including analysis of response facilitating and coordinating with business units and awarding as well as down selecting suppliers. Construct cost models/purchase price analysis of service providers and services to create a complete understanding of the supplier's cost structure. This often requires coordination with finance professionals in product pricing and costs analysis.
  • Procurement of Suppliers: Contract creation and negotiations, and drafting and negotiating contract renewals and amendments to those original contracts as needed.
  • Benchmarking providers and services. Performance management of Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions' providers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Bachelors' degree with 5+ years of specialized experience in Sourcing and Procurement.
  • Contracts creation, development and negotiation.
  • Ability to Independently draft quality, original contract language
  • Thorough experience as the role of lead negotiator - leading cross functional negotiation teams consisting of software engineers, lawyers, finance specialists and/or other professionals
  • Expertise in maintaining the control document during negotiations- drafting contract language to support agreements reached in principle during negotiation, and re-distributing revisions to the working draft to both parties
  • Have a working knowledge and understanding of principles related to intellectual property, indemnification obligations, limitations of liability, warranties, and confidential information protection
  • Strategic sourcing experience
  • Ability to execute data analytics, identifying sourcing opportunities and trend analysis related to spend
  • Experience with Tableau, Oracle, SharePoint, Salesforce and smartsheet is desirable
  • Proficient in MS Excel and other Office 365 programs is desirable as well
  • A working knowledge of MS PowerPoint
