We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer in the area of secure data transport with a current TS/SCI with polygraph to work in support of our Network Services Division in Chantilly, VA. The selected individual will apply skills listed below to support an important customer mission with tactical and strategic importance. The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast paced environment, have a willingness to travel as needed, and brings a problem-solving mentality to this position.

General Role/Requirements:
- Minimum of six years relevant experience with degree, or eight years without
- Ability to work well, in a dynamic environment, with tight, deadlines, evolving, priorities, and the potential to conduct operational support in adverse working environment
- Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals(OSi model and IP subnetting basics)
- Experience using Linux, including command, line and firewall configuration
- Experience troubleshooting technical problems related to networking technologies
- Familiarization with virtualization and containerization techniques, and technologies, lxd, docker, Linux KVM/QEMU
- Working knowledge of network routing, and commercial off the shelf, hardware, and software
- Working knowledge of Python and/or Linux Bash scripting
- Experience with network, security appliances, VPNs, and encryption fundamentals (Wireguard, OpenSSL, IPSEC, OpenVPN, asymmetric cryptography, etc.)
- Desire to create an innovative solutions in-house to address unique requirements
- Ability to meet the customers' requirements for TDY travel


Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor of science degree in computer, engineering, computer, science, information technology, or demonstrated equivalent experience
- Familiarity with customer operations and constraints, or prior military experience in a technical discipline
- Experience writing, and reviewing message traffic using the customers system for communication to the field
-Expert knowledge of Linux, and or UNIX file systems, permissions, feature sets, configurations, etc.
- Experience working with cloud-based architectures (Amazon EC2, Microsoft Azure)
- Experience working with embedded computers, or hardware (RaspberryPi, Arduino)
- Familiarization with customer networks certification and accreditation processes
-Familiarization with data transport protocols/tools (SFTP, SMTP, HTTP(S), Bit-Torrent)
- Familiarization with data obfuscation technologies (Tor, i2p, Wireguard, OpenVPN, Web Proxy)
- Understanding of cryptographic fundamentals, including symmetric, and asymmetric cryptography
