We are looking for a talented and passionate Security Engineer, Cloud Security to join our team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain software solutions that enable our internal teams to interact with cloud resources and applications securely. You will create applications and tools that provide actionable security items and help other engineers produce secure software. Additionally, you will advise engineering teams on the design and implementation of a secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) for the products they own.

Job Description and Requirements

What are the core duties of this role?

  • Design & build security products to establish best in class cloud security.

  • Internalize software development best practices.

  • Reduce technical debt through automation.

  • Operate the products for which the team is responsible.

  • Act as an advocate for security improvements in the organization.

  • Mentor other members of Security and Engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to implement security solutions for cloud-native applications.

  • Understanding of secure networking principles and practices in the cloud.

  • Experience with modern vulnerability scanning tools and threat protection solutions.

  • Relevant certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)

  • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300)

  • Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and their application to cloud security.

  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of professional experience in software development (programming languages such as C#, Python, or Java).

  • Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures.

  • Experience in cloud technologies, ideally with Microsoft Azure.

  • Experience with DevSecOps practices and automation tools (e.g., GitHub Actions).

  • Ability to receive feedback and strive for continual improvement.

  • Eager to learn and grow across multiple levels of the stack (both in software engineering and security areas).

Relativity is committed to competitive, fair, and equitable compensation practices.

This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives.

The expected salary range for this role is between following values:

$90,000 and $134,000

The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position.
