Your Role

Stellarus is a technology company that is being grown and developed within the Ascendiun (parent company for Blue Shield of California) family of companies.

The Director, Product & Financial Analytics - Stellarus you will lead, prioritize and oversee the development of financial reporting and analysis to enable a new technology company; this will include creating a product pricing model for Stellarus services, product P&L analysis and enhancement of financial reporting. Lead and evaluate the effectiveness of Stellarus products in the marketplace based on competitive and other financial analysis. Collaborate closely with Stellarus CFO and leadership to develop product costing (including allocation of shared costs) to allow for careful financial management of cost and margins, and to drive strategies to improve efficiency and drive business growth. Help preserve cash flow while exploring sources of new investment. Partner with corporate development to evaluate new and existing partnerships and different funding models.

This role will report to the VP, Corporate Finance & Head of Stellarus Finance.

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Healthcare IT startups, and product pricing, Accounting, or related field
  • Requires a minimum of 12 years in healthcare carrier or healthcare industry
  • Requires 10+ years of people leadership overseeing finance analytics, and product development focused lines of business
  • Master's in Finance, Product Financing and Economics, small company / startup experience, technology company experience; experience with legal, contracting and partnership documents preferred
  • Proven track record of building and managing financial operations and strategies in a product focused and product development environment, preferably at a growth-stage company in healthcare
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable strategies
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a commitment to developing team members
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders
