As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer I, you will be trusted to analyze technology trends, design and modify processes, and resolve engineering issues to enhance team performance and operational efficiency at our Manufacturing Facility in Houston, TX!

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Provide support during process/quality investigations.

• Coordinate technical Research & Development (R&D), Manufacturing (Mfg.) and Manufacturing Science & Technology (MS&T) technical engineering teams to meet new product lifecycle results.

• Apply project management tools to ensure all equipment lifecycle work (design, development, validation, and implementation) is completed in a timely manner.

• Validate (Installation Qualification (IQ)/Operational Qualification (OQ)/Process or Product Qualification (PQ)) manual processes and semi and fully automated pieces of assembly equipment.

• Develop and implement technical pre-validation studies to characterize and identify operating ranges for new manufacturing processes.

• Design arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout following Lean Six Sigma principles.

• Develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control.

• Ensure processes and procedures follow regulations.

What You'll Bring to Alcon:

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs).

• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

• 2 Years of Relevant Experience

• Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST

• Location: Onsite

• Travel Requirements:0 - 10%
