Job Summary

The Manager - Event Sales Team is responsible for leading the strategy, planning, and execution of events that drive market penetration, accelerate sales, and elevate Optimum's brand presence. This role oversees a team of Event Representatives, acting as both a strategic leader and brand ambassador. The Manager - Event Sales Team partners with cross-functional teams and community stakeholders to ensure every event delivers measurable results and deepens engagement with customers, prospects, and partners across key markets.

Responsibilities

Strategic Event Leadership
* Own the development and execution of a market-specific annual event strategy that supports sales and brand goals.
* Partner with Area Marketing to align event plans with key market priorities and sales initiatives.
* Identify high-impact opportunities to showcase the brand at community and regional events.
* Recommend offers, tactics, and messaging that will maximize engagement and conversions at each event.
* Build and sustain relationships with community leaders, government officials, and event vendors to facilitate successful events.

Team Management & Development
* Manage and mentor a team of Event Representatives; provide coaching, performance management, and career development.
* Create and implement training programs to drive best-in-class field execution.
* Lead resource planning, scheduling, and on-site logistics to ensure optimal staffing and coverage to meet sales objectives.
* Foster a performance-driven culture that is aligned with company values and sales objectives.

Event Performance Optimization
* Track and analyze event KPIs, including lead generation, sales conversions, and return on investment.
* Ensure all leads are captured, tracked, and followed up with in a timely manner.
* Conduct post-event evaluations and present insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
* Use data to refine event strategy, improve team productivity, and drive continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Collaborate with Sales, B2B, Retention, Field Ops, and other teams to maximize ROI and integrate events into broader sales and marketing efforts.
* Communicate event plans, project milestones, execution results, and learnings across stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
* Support regional go-to-market efforts and share best practices across markets.

Market Intelligence & Innovation
* Stay informed on market trends, customer behavior, and competitive activity to optimize event strategies.
* Identify emerging event formats and community engagement opportunities effectively.
* Test new event types and evaluate performance for scalability.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred.
* 3-5+ years of experience in event marketing, sales operations, or community engagement, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
* Proven ability to lead teams and deliver measurable results in a field-based or decentralized environment.
* Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
* Experience in using CRM and event performance tracking tools; Salesforce preferred.
* Ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Telecommunications or retail experience is a plus.
* Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours including weekends.
* Ability to stand for long periods and transport equipment and materials for event setup.

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $84,583.00 - $138,958.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
