Foley & Lardner is seeking an associate to join the Capital Markets & Public Company Advisory practice in our Chicago, Jacksonville, Milwaukee, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, or Tampa office. Our firm provides ongoing U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) counsel and related capital markets services to companies that range from large public companies that are "household names" to growing, cutting-edge companies looking to go public.
The ideal candidate will possess 3-6 years of relevant capital markets and public company advisory experience, including advising clients on various forms of capital markets transactions and a wide range of governance and securities law compliance matters, SEC disclosure and reporting including in connection with securities offerings, fiduciary duty issues and corporate governance matters. Qualified candidates must have strong document drafting, communication, business development, and interpersonal skills, coupled with a positive attitude and an exceptional work ethic. The candidate must be comfortable with direct interaction with both senior partners and clients. This is a great opportunity for an associate seeking to build a successful, long-term capital markets practice in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, while developing strong, client-facing relationships at this stage in their career. To be considered, candidates must hold a JD from an ABA-approved law school and must be in good standing and an active member of the bar of the jurisdiction(s) where the candidates are admitted to practice. Timely admission to the Bar coinciding with the office of hire will be a condition of employment. In support of transparency and equity in the workplace, Foley provides salary ranges for all positions. The expected salary range for this position is between $260,000 - $390,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, experience, internal pay equity at Foley, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
