About the Role

The Business Manager & PCCM Team Lead partners with the Vice President (VP) of Advisory Services to drive business performance, operational excellence, and financial health across the division. This role plays a key part in underperforming areas, providing data-driven insights, challenging the status quo, and collaborating with leadership to improve results.

The ideal candidate brings strong financial acumen, AEC industry knowledge, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset. Responsibilities include overseeing internal program control and contract management (PCCM), supervising 2-3 direct reports, leading PCCM operations, and supporting long-term success for clients and staff. This position reports to the VP and is part of the leadership team.

Office Arrangement: You will have flexibility to work a hybrid/remote schedule, coming into any Parametrix office for integration and to build connections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the VP to set financial goals, track performance, and execute business strategies.
  • Collaborate with Finance to monitor division performance, identifying opportunities for utilization, revenue growth, profitability, and cost control.
  • Analyze program/project-level metrics (labor efficiency, margins, forecasts) and address underperformance with leadership and Project Managers.
  • Lead program/project financial reviews, WIP/backlog analysis, and risk mitigation planning.
  • Coordinate annual budgets, forecasts, and performance reporting.
  • Provide practical, business-first solutions to operational challenges.
  • Support implementation of business programs and processes.
  • Use reports and dashboards to inform decisions.
  • Oversee administrative and PCCM staff for quality service delivery.
  • Supervise and mentor PCCM team members, providing feedback, career development, and technical support.
  • Set PCCM strategic direction, align resources with program/project and firm goals, and manage workloads.
  • Lead recruiting, onboarding, and staffing for PCCM growth.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive team culture with clear roles and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years' experience in business, financial management, project management, or program/project controls within the AEC industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in financial systems, reporting, and forecasting.
  • Proven ability to partner with leaders and influence outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience supervising staff, leading teams, and guiding strategic direction.
  • Proficiency in project controls systems, analytical tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and SharePoint.
  • PMP, CAPM, or similar certification preferred.
  • Experience with public sector clients, program controls, and tools such as MS Project, and Bluebeam preferred.

Compensation Information: Base salary for this position is in the range of $105,000-$125,000+.
