Location: Rock County Float Pool (Janesville, WI) Shift: Day Shift Hours: This is a float position with flexible hours. You'll need to commit to working at least 12 days per month. Looking for candidates to commit to working 2-5 days per week Join our team and play a vital role in the daily operations of our medical offices. In this position, you'll provide essential support to ensure our clinics run smoothly. Responsibilities As a Medical Assistant, you'll be on the front lines of patient care, directly contributing to our mission of providing excellent health services. Your responsibilities include: Preparing and rooming patients Assisting with examinations and clinical procedures Managing administrative duties, from scheduling and patient registration to handling referrals and payments Coordinating lab procedures and quality improvement projects Serving as a main point of contact for all patient inquiries and needs Education and Experience Medical Assistant Program Graduation: Must be a graduate of one of the following: A medical assistant program accredited by ABHES or CAAHEP. A medical assistant program from a post-secondary school or college with institutional accreditation by a regional or national accrediting organization approved by the U.S. Department of Education. An educational program accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), such as the NHA. Clinical Experience: Experience in a program with a clinical rotation is preferred. Certification/Licensure Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days. Medication injection training and pharmacology is a required competency to perform medication administration. Special Physical Demands Manual dexterity needed to operate equipment, perform procedures, operate telephone and keyboard. Must be able to lift and transfer patients. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk; handle, finger and feel; reach; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste and smell. This job requires the employee to exert 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and 25 to 50 pounds of force occasionally. Pushing and pulling equipment to provide care Specific vision abilities required by this job include frequent close vision. Occasionally distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
