Quality Control Supervisor - Lead Laboratory Excellence in Franklin, LA

Hours & Pay

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Pay Range: $90,000 - $93,000 annually



Key Responsibilities



  • Supervise Laboratory Staff: Lead and train hourly lab technicians, schedule overtime, coach staff, and administer relevant labor agreements.
  • Laboratory Equipment Management: Oversee calibration, maintain control charts and records, and perform equipment calibrations as needed.
  • Inventory & Supplies: Manage lab materials and ensure compliance with ISO, ASTM, and company standards.
  • Support & Coverage: Provide backup support for quality assurance staff as necessary.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure the lab operates safely and in accordance with all SH&E standards.
  • Sample Preparation & Shipment: Coordinate and prepare sample orders with proper quality documentation.
  • Budget Management: Operate the laboratory within established budget guidelines.
  • Additional Duties: Perform related responsibilities as directed by the Quality Assurance Manager.

Required Skills & Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment, testing methodologies, and troubleshooting/calibration
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); SAP or similar business applications a plus
  • Knowledge of ISO9000 and statistical process control preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Flexible work hours as needed to meet business requirements
