The Role

As the US Emergencies Fellow, you'll be integral to our work in helping vulnerable children achieve a brighter future. You will support the US Emergency Response Team as they create and enact new standard operating procedures and ways of working. The Fellow will primarily support knowledge management and operational processes for the emergency response team. There may be an opportunity to provide operational and reporting support to a response, depending on the response portfolio at the time of the internship

What You'll Be Doing (Essential Duties)

*not inclusive of all role responsibilities. May be subject to change



  • Knowledge management support, including drafting key documents, updating SharePoint, and providing updated information to key colleagues across the organization
  • Reporting support, including drafting report narratives for donors and supporting requests from our Partnerships & Philanthropy department
  • Professional development, including learning about domestic emergency response as well as tools for humanitarian response both domestically and internationally


Required qualifications for the role



  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams, both internally and externally
  • Commitment to fostering and maintaining and environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging
  • Interest and experience in the Humanitarian sector and/or Child Protection


  • Professional proficiency in MS Office suite


  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English


Preferred qualifications for the role



  • Interest and experience in domestic emergencies
