T-Rex is looking for a fully cleared Senior VMWare System Administrator to work on a program in the Annapolis Junction area in support of the Intelligence Community.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a senior level system administrator/engineer with deep knowledge and experience with VMWare.Thisrole will be expected to perform system architect/design duties for both revamping current system design to fit new needs and developing a new and improved design, as we migrate to the Hardware as a Service (HwaaS) platform. Experience with migrating from VMWare 7.x to VMWare 8.x and knowledge is strongly desired.

Provide optimization and automation across multiple platforms and applications

Drive consistency for deployment and build processes

You have worked with teams before on large and demonstrable projects

Focus on understanding customers' needs and translating those needs from product specifications into functional, production ready code and infrastructure

You are self-driven, self-learner willing to share knowledge and participate actively in a team environment.

Requirements:



  • Typically requires Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university and 12-15 years of experience.
  • Deep knowledge and experience with VMware VCenter, Cisco Switches, VPNs, VLANs, Server Deployment
  • Experience with enclaves and firewalls (e.g., NSX, Cisco ASA)
  • Experience related to network engineering design, system fit-up, and system deployment
  • General Windows and some Linux system administration and sustainment experience, to include patching
  • Knowledge working with Storage Area Network (SAN) and Power Distribution Units
  • Familiarity with customer Security (i.e., STE/STN) requirements
  • CWIP IAT Level I required.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with FSP security clearance is required.


Desired Skills:



  • Experience with VMWare NSX
  • Experience with migrating from VMWare 7.x to VMWare 8.x is strongly desired
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Hardware as a Service (HWaaS) is desired

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines, the annual base salary range for this position is $160,000-$190,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. T-Rex considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
