Primary Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develops appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost.
  • Leads the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand.
  • Works with plant, warehouse, and logistics departments to set up intercompany transfers.
  • Works directly with the sales department to determine the most cost-effective distribution solution for finished goods transportation to customers.
  • Facilitate physical, monitor, and correct inventory levels to ensure rotation and maximize working capital.
  • Works with freight forwarders and transportation companies to set the best route and rate (reviews and approves all freight terms and agreements).
  • Collaborates with procurement department to determine best practice for freight in and freight consolidation.
  • Supports proper utilization of ERP system.
  • Member of the operations staff, responsible for routine reporting on department KPIs along with appropriate analysis and countermeasures where necessary.
  • Ensures all safety procedures are followed and actively works to improve our safety program.
  • Ensures all quality procedures are followed and actively works to improve our quality program.
  • Follows all procedures & work instructions.
  • Works to maintain a clean & organized working environment (5s)
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work on complex learning and development problems and teach highly technical information.
  • Self-starter, ability to initiate and execute with limited assistance and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interface with people at all levels while projecting a strong client service attitude.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Economics, or other related disciplines preferred.
  • 5-10 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to work in the US.
