Position Summary

The Contract & Compliance Specialist is responsible for collating and assembling all subcontract agreement and purchase order agreements and accompanying documentation in accordance with corporate policy and procedure. He/she is responsible for sending, monitoring, and receiving all subcontract agreement or purchase order agreement documentation from the subcontractor or vendor. He/she is responsible for reviewing and monitoring all compliance related documentation. The Contract & Compliance Specialist is a resource to the Contract & Compliance Manager and for the subsidiary companies and is an extension and a functional part of the project teams.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Collate, assemble and track all subcontract agreements sent to Trade Partners
  • Collate, assemble and track all major material purchase order contracts sent to Vendors
  • Monitor, request and track insurance for each agreement Collect, verify W9, and current State Contractors License
  • Collect, verify Payment & Performance bond for any subcontractor that is required to provide one
  • Collect Certified Payrolls, and all DOT documentation required for Federal and State Projects.
  • Approve all Lien Wavers and Lower Tier Lien Wavers.
  • Updates GCPay and Vista with documentation received.
  • Review all incoming contract documents for thoroughness and accuracy.
  • Help maintain SOP's

Qualifications
  • Understands insurance requirements per company policy and procedure
  • Comprehends contract documents and company policies pertaining to them * Customer service oriented.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high volume, and deadline driven environment.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge of construction industry
  • Ability to stay focused and to complete tasks/assignments/commitments in an accurate and timely manner
  • Establishes a climate of helpfulness and trust
  • Supports decisions made by the group even though it may not be his/her preferred solution * Willingly helps others when it is requested even when not within his/her area of responsibility * Is willing to "speak up" when something doesn't look right.
  • High school diploma or Associates Degree or equivalent experience
  • Five or more years of relevant experience in the construction industry
  • Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize, manage time well, multitask and troubleshoot
  • Self-directed and the ability to work independently
  • Handle multiple tasks and projects at once and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products (Excel, Word, Power Point and Access)
  • Proficient in Vista/Viewpoint software
  • Strong initiative, ownership, and teamwork skills
  • Strong people skills: ability to work effectively with a wide range of personalities and backgrounds

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position which typically requires 40 hours per week.
