Description
Position Purpose: The Maintenance Supervisor leads and coordinates day-to-day activities of a maintenance technician team at the facility, assists workers in safely troubleshooting, repairing, and inspecting equipment throughout the facility, and focuses heavily on proactive work to improve overall uptime and efficiency of the facility equipment. This position's regular work schedule is 11pm-7am Wednesday through Sunday, but may be adjusted at times based on the needs of the plant. Critical Success Criteria:
- Support the team while modeling our core values and ensuring all work is only done once we have made sure the job is safe
- Support a team-centric approach to the maintenance function on a given shift. Model a service-focused approach to balancing the shift plan with the emergent reactive work that comes with each shift
- Work with the Planner/Scheduler to understand the goals for the current shift and clearly communicates a plan to the technicians on the floor
- Work with the technicians on short- and long-term developmental goals looking for opportunities to build skill and grow everyone's understanding of the plant and production process
Responsibilities:
- Supervise maintenance staff and verify work is being done safely, correctly, efficiently and per the company established work standards
- Develop staff and motivate workforce for high performance maintenance team
- Execute all preventive maintenance job plans as per schedule and provide required feedback to the reliability organization
- Review maintenance staff work schedule with Maintenance Planning group
- Work with production departments on root cause and downtime issues
- Work with outside contractors on both planned and reactive work
- Work with production and maintenance on plant/process training needs
- Provide onsite input and direction as a subject matter expert
- Participate in safety programs to help reduce accidents throughout the plant
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED minimally required
- 5+ years of previous hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment in an industrial plant including but not limited to pumps, valves, conveyors, blowers, screws, mobile equipment, and associated hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- 3+ years of previous supervisory experience
- Technical proficiency with CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) systems (such as Mainsaver)
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook and Teams
- Ability to read and work with PLC's (programmable logic controllers), i.e., Wonderware
- Excellent mechanical skills, broad knowledge of maintenance concepts and techniques including application of lean six sigma methodologies
- Aptitude to read, write, understand, and follow technical instructions and drawings; ability to read and understand blueprints
- Strong understanding of workplace safety rules and regulations
- Proficient math skills and communication in English (including reading & writing)

Physical Requirements:
- Willingness and ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, boots, and hearing protection) with or without reasonable accommodation
- Willingness and ability to wear respiratory protection directly against skin (i.e. clean shaven if applicable) with or without reasonable accommodation
- Willingness and ability to be able to move about the plant, including climbing a flight of stairs, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Willingness and ability to work in a hot production area wearing protective clothing with or without reasonable accommodation
Compensation Information: Salary Range: $85,077 to $135,898. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive plan which is determined by the achievement of strategic objectives. The market rate for the role is typically at the midpoint of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as candidate qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
