Position Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Mobile Tracking System (MTS) product team as the complexity and scope of our internal development projects grow. Under the guidance of the Product Manager, the Assistant Project Manager will assist in virtually all areas of product management including: the completion of administrative tasks, supervision of projects related to product enhancement and coordination of cross-functional teams to ensure strategic objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Under the Product Manager, assist with planning, execution, and completion of efforts including product enhancement, internal research, and field test coordination
  • Act as a liaison between team members, stakeholders from different organizations, and leadership.
  • Coordinate project activities, resources, and timelines to meet objectives.
  • Lead and manage small teams, ensuring alignment, accountability, and productivity.
  • Develop project documentation, including schedules, reports, and progress updates.
  • Identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Contribute to process improvements and foster a collaborative, results-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, Project Management, Engineering, or another technical field).
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in project management, including direct
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in project management tools a plus.
  • Familiarity with government contracts and acquisition is a plus.
