Job Title: CRA Community Development Manager

What you'll do: As a Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Community Development Manager you'll implement the Bank's Strategic Plan to comply with the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) in assigned markets. You'll regularly meet with business unit leaders to report and review progress on their goals and assisting with strategies to close gaps. In this role you'll proactively maintain and strategically expand a portfolio of relationships with community-based organizations. You'll act as internal subject matter expert on CRA compliance and community development activities for business unit staff and leadership.
- Responsible for supporting the CRA Director in working with CRA Compliance and Management to develop, implement, and maintain the bank's CRA strategy and program in assigned markets. Ensure compliance with all CRA regulatory requirements and guidelines. Advise business unit staff and leadership on CRA qualifying activities. Conduct regular CRA assessments and prepare reports for management and board committees. Analyze and monitor the bank's CRA performance and address any areas needing improvement.
- Partner in community affairs and development to build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, non-profits, and government agencies. Identify community development needs and opportunities within the bank's service areas. Develop and implement programs and initiatives to support affordable housing, economic development, and other community needs. Represent the bank at community events, meetings, and conferences.
- Engage in grant and investment management to manage and oversee a portfolio of community development investments and grants. Evaluate and recommend community development projects for funding and investment. Track and report on the impact of the bank's community development investments. Work in training and education to provide training and education to bank employees on CRA requirements and community development issues. Promote awareness of CRA and community development efforts within the bank.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all CRA activities and community development initiatives. Prepare and submit required CRA reports to regulatory agencies. Ensure documentation supports the bank's CRA performance and community development efforts.
What you'll need:
- 5+ years of related experience within the financial industry.
- High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
- Intermediate to advanced experience in CRA and regulatory compliance, community development, or related fields. In-depth knowledge of the Community Reinvestment Act and related regulations including Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Fair Housing Act, and Home Mortgage Disclosure Act.
- Intermediate to advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with community organizations and stakeholders.
- Experience in grant writing, program development, project management, and CRA software and databases preferred.
- Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
- May require up to 25% travel.
