Description Acara Solutions has been providing aerospace firms nationally with our staffing services for over 65 years. Our national/international aerospace client in Burbank, CA has an opening for a Sr. Manufacturing Engineering Manager. This is a direct employee position with a salary range of $180K - $210K.
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer Manager holds a leadership role for the Manufacturing Engineering team and is responsible for machining and special process development, CNC and CMM programming, tool and fixture design and fabrication, including the validation of all processes and programs for use on the shop floor. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer Manager provides ongoing support for Value Stream leadership in the areas of productivity improvement and lead time reduction, takes a leadership role with Operations regarding New Product Development activities and is responsible for ensuring that all customer and internal cost requirements are met or exceeded.
Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Min 8 years of manufacturing engineering experience in an aerospace or similar CNC machine shop environment with at least 5 years in an employee management position.
Min 5 years of Lean leadership (Six Sigma training and/or belt desired)
This is an ITAR facility, U.S. Persons required.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
MBA or Master's degree
A background programming and creating aerospace products with CNC machines.
