Moog's Corporate Groupis looking for a Director of Enterprise Architecture to join our Technology Team!

As the Director of Enterprise Architecture, you will be a strategic leader, responsible for defining and governing Moog's enterprise technology blueprint. You will ensure alignment between business priorities and scalable, secure, and innovative digital capabilities across the organization. You will lead the development and evolution of architectural standards, roadmaps, and governance frameworks, while enabling integration across enterprise platforms such as ERP, PLM, and CAD. You will collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate strategic goals into actionable architecture, evaluate emerging technologies, and guide adoption to support digital transformation. You will also lead a team of architects and partner closely with engineering, platform, and digital enablement teams to ensure cohesive, future-ready solutions.

To qualify for the Director of Enterprise Architecture, here is what we would expect you to bring to Moog...

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).

  • Over 15 years of progressive experience in technology.

  • Minimum of five (5) years in a senior leadership role, overseeing application development and enterprise architecture.

  • Proven track record of leading large-scale digital transformation and enterprise-wide system initiatives.

  • Strong background in both legacy and modern development frameworks (.NET, Java, cloud-native, microservices, APIs).

  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).

  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise SaaS integrations.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into technical vision.

  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities.

  • Expertise in Agile and DevOps methodologies.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Must live local to the Buffalo, NY area to work onsite.

As the Director of Enterprise Architecture, you will...

  • Define and govern Moog's enterprise technology blueprint to align architecture with strategic business priorities.

  • Lead the development and evolution of the enterprise architecture roadmap, ensuring scalability, security, and innovation.

  • Establish and enforce architectural standards, governance frameworks, and design principles across platforms and projects.

  • Oversee the integration of enterprise systems including ERP, PLM, CAD, and simulation platforms to support digital thread and model-based engineering.

  • Drive modernization of legacy systems and adoption of cloud-native, API-driven, and microservices-based architectures.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and guide strategic adoption to enhance Moog's digital maturity and competitive advantage.

  • Collaborate with business and technology leaders to translate complex needs into cohesive, high-impact architectural solutions.

  • Lead cross-functional architecture teams including enterprise, solution, application, and data architects.

  • Partner with platform, engineering, and digital enablement teams to ensure cohesive and interoperable technology solutions.

  • Support Agile and DevOps practices across architecture and engineering delivery teams.

  • Ensure architectural decisions support application performance, security, and compliance with internal and external standards.

  • Build and mentor a high-performing architecture organization with deep domain expertise.

  • Manage vendor relationships and external partnerships to expand architectural capabilities.

  • Optimize resource allocation and manage budgets to support architecture initiatives and enterprise transformation.

  • Proactively identify and mitigate technology risks across systems, platforms, and infrastructure.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $180,000.00-$210,000.00 Annually

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
