Overview

JOB PURPOSE

The Business Banking Specialist (BBS) is responsible for providing support in the sales, servicing, and management of Business Banking clients and deliver an exceptional client experience that will positively impact new business development, client referral and retention efforts. The BBS will provide administrative support to Business Banking Relationship Managers (RM) and assist with the management of client's full banking relationship. This includes servicing of deposit accounts, facilitating loan documentation and processes, and assisting with the sales and servicing of Cash Management Solutions. Must be able to work with highly confidential information while delivering an exceptional level of professionalism that will enhance the Johnson Financial Group experience. Additionally, the BBS may provide support to other relationship managers (i.e. Private Banking) as necessary.

Open to where this individual will office from within the JFG footprint as indicated by the multiple locations shown.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Understanding of and ability to articulate full scope of JFG products and services.
  2. Responsible for accurately opening, closing, and performing maintenance on accounts within bank operating systems.
  3. Assist clients by responding to requests relating to depository accounts, loans, Cash Management Solutions, treasury management, and other services related to maintaining a full-service business banking relationship.
  4. Manage overdrafts and non-post items along with the related approval processes for time- sensitive decisioning.
  5. Assist with loan requests including obtaining due diligence items to satisfy loan approval, CIP information, UCC searches, title, survey, etc. Responsible for reviewing all due diligence including all bylaws and/or operating agreements to determine authorized signers. Compile information for loan packages, request document preparation, prepare and review documents for accuracy prior to closing and submitting closed loans for processing.
  6. Coordinate submission of original signed loan documents and supporting documentation to the proper repository for imaging. Responsible for ensuring all loan documents are properly signed by authorized signers. Independently responsible for managing risk to the bank to ensure all collateral is properly perfected and directing loan ops to file liens and record mortgages accordingly.
  7. Proactively and independently review collateral tickler, maturing notes, and past due loan reports to coordinate and follow up on required items. Call clients to request information and communicate timely with RM to ensure ticklers are cleared and loan portfolio integrity is maintained.
  8. Process various client requests including but not limited to; wire transactions, funds transfers, line draws and loan payments.
  9. Research and work independently to assist in resolving client inquiries and issues to resolution, escalating issues when appropriate.
  10. Prepare correspondence, documents, reports, proposals, and other administrative work as requested.

Job Requirements - Education, Knowledge and Skills

  1. Bachelor's degree and minimum of 3 years of experience in the financial services industry with at least
  2. 1 year in a Relationship Banker role; work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  3. Consumer or commercial credit experience highly desired.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills, a high degree of business professionalism, initiative, and ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize without sacrificing quality.
  5. Proven organization and analytical skills; attention to detail and thorough follow-up skills critical.
  6. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  7. Proficient with full MS Office Suite of products and all applicable bank operating systems.
