Overview / Customer Profile
Identifying requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services needed to support the program.
Analyzing requirements to ensure they match program plans and schedules.
Creating program and Life Cycle Management (LCM) plans to ensure logistics requirements are adequately defined and executed.
Reviewing contractor deliverables to ensure compliance with logistics requirements and contracts.
Desired Experience and Skills
Provide expertise in evaluating operational systems sustainment strategies and life cycle execution, including the identification of diminishing manufacturing sources and obsolescence issues.
Build and maintain relationships with operational users and maintainers. Learn existing systems and extract technical and execution data in relationship to current and future sustainment activities.
Familiarity with AFI 23-101, Air Force Materiel Management, and AFMAN 23-122, Materiel Management Procedures.
Experience with Air Force Supply Chain Management.
Support efforts that include planning and executing integrated product support elements to include Product Support Management; Sustainment Planning; Supply Support; Maintenance Planning and Management; and Technical Data.
Support Product Support Business Case Analysis (PS-BCA), Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP), and Logistics Health Assessment (LHA) efforts on operational systems.
Experience with technical orders, ordering parts from supply, performing maintenance documentation, and analyzing problems to determine root cause.
Familiarity with the Integrated Product Support (IPS) Elements Guidebook and experience in any one of the seven integrated product support elements.
Experience with Defense Acquisition System processes as a Logistics Manager.
Operational knowledge of ground IT, network, and communication systems is highly beneficial.
Ability to coordinate and evaluate the efforts of functional specialists to identify specific requirements and develop and adjust plans and schedules for the actions needed to meet each requirement on time.
Perform logistics management tasks involving planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logistical actions required to support a specified mission, weapons system, or other designated program.
Provide expert logistics input on Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Statement of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS), and Contract Data Requirements Listings (CDRLs).
Provide logistics analytical support for key logistics metrics, including supply, reliability, and maintainability, and provide them to key logistics reviews.
Required Experience
Experience with Defense Acquisition System processes as a Logistics Manager, including UCA, MTA, MCA, Software Acquisition, and Acquisition of Services.
Required Professional Qualifications
Acquisition Qualification (One of the Following):
Defense Acquisition University (DAU) credential program CACQ 010 Foundational Acquisition Intelligence Credential
Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP), any level
A degree or certificate in LCM, Product LCM, or related field from any university or learning institute accredited by a U.S. Department of Education approved accrediting organization

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role mostly sitting; however, some filing may be required. This would require the ability to move files or boxes with file data, open filing cabinets, bend or stand as necessary, and lift up to 40 lbs.
