Maintenance Technician- 2nd Shift

Location:Hattiesburg, MS
Shift:2nd Shift | Full-Time

Pay: $18.38 - $27.70 + ($2.00 shift premium

What you will do:

  • The maintenance technician will support production departments with preventative maintenance of the mechanical equipment to ensure it is predictable and is maintained to an excellent condition.

  • The maintenance helper will also support the production departments with movements of large tonnage chillers for production.

How you will do it:

  • *Maintain spreaders bars and chains for moving production chillers.

  • *Utilize large overhead cranes to move production chillers.

  • *Utilize a forklift to move equipment.

  • *Preventative maintenance of all plant equipment.

  • *Assist the production departments with 5S projects.

  • *Support maintenance technician with minor mechanical repairs to plant equipment

  • *Use standard formats to audit the autonomous maintenance done by operators.

  • *Give training to operators to improve the effectiveness of autonomous maintenance.

  • *Ensure applicable activities that help achieve EHS & JCMS goals and metrics.

  • *Participate in EHS & JCMS observations program.

  • *Maintain security policy, health, and environment at work.

  • *Participate in Training program.

  • *Assist in defining corrective and preventive actions.

  • *Control system logs in your area.

  • *Intervene personally to identify and correct unsafe acts and recognize safe behavior

  • *Identify and report potential environmental impacts

  • *Report all injuries, almost accidents, unsafe acts / conditions and occupational health problems and take the necessary corrective measures, as well as support in the investigation.

  • *Support and comply with all security practices, systems and rules established in the company.

  • *Keep the areas clean and tidy, maintaining the 5S standards.

  • *Properly use Personal Protective Equipment.

  • *Review and participate in risk assessments ensuring the level of alertness in their areas when working with materials and chemicals.

Qualifications Required:

  • *High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • *Requires a minimum of two experience in a manufacturing environment

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $18.38 - $27.70 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
