Overview

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), is looking for a Benefits Coordinator to support our growing organization in our Pittsburgh, PA office. Responsibilites:

    Provides benefit administration in the various benefit plans to include the processing of all new enrollments and benefit changes for current employees and COBRA enrollees in accordance with applicable carrier contracts and laws; and coordinate dependent verification process
  • Creates and updates annual benefits communication calendar and all Employee Care/Benefits communications on company intranet
  • Provides guidance to employees and beneficiaries completing necessary elections/actions
    Approves and processes updates in Dayforce HRMS for new hire enrollment and employee insurance changes
  • Interfaces between employees and benefit carriers and provides assistance in responding to benefits queries
  • Coordinates and acts as primary contact for Flexible Spending Accounts, Health Savings Accounts, COBRA and voluntary benefit plans
  • Maintains, audits, reconciles and invoices monthly insurance carrier billings, Health Savings Account contributions and COBRA accounts
  • Supports the annual HR process such as Open Enrollment and PPACA, Schedules and provides support during the annual benefits open-enrollment process to include preparation of materials
  • Responsible for Dayforce HRIS benefits updates and maintenance to ensure processes and changes are completed in a timely and correct manner. Assists with other HR administration in Dayforce
  • Assists with required annual reporting and processes such as 1095 forms, CMS reporting, 401k testing, and other mandated reporting requirements
  • Reviews current practices and suggests ways to enhance processes that foster efficiency, potentially leading to automation
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Human Resources or related field preferred; High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources
  • Experience working with HRIS/HRMS systems preferred
  • HR certification preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - effectively and accurately communicates thoughts, ideas and information.
  • Problem solving skills - identifies issues, analyzes potential solutions and implements effective strategies to address issues/challenges in a thoughtful and timely manner
  • Detail-oriented - carefully, thoughtfully and thoroughly completes work tasks to achieve accurate and high-quality work results
  • Teamwork-oriented - works in partnership with others to achieve common goals and complete tasks in an efficient and effective way
  • Technical savvy - Understands HR technology and can effectively use it in various situations
