Position Summary

Allan Hancock College is accepting applications for a part-time instructor to teach the noncredit Green Gardening and Landscaping certificate program classes. Anticipated start date is spring, 2026 semester. This position is a part-time, non-tenure track faculty position with Community Education.


Essential Functions and Qualifications

Certain combinations of education, experience, and other professional accomplishments may be considered by the district as equivalent to the stated minimum qualifications for this position. Candidates who believe they possess such equivalent qualifications are encouraged to complete the equivalency form and submit appropriate documentation supporting their qualifications.


Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor's degree and two years of occupational experience related to the subject of the course taught, or an associate degree and six years of occupational experience, or the equivalent per Board Policy 7211.

Special Qualification: Sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of staff and students and to staff and students with disabilities.


Additional Information

SALARY:

* Lecture Rate: $48.22 to $62.54 per hour depending upon education and experience

* Activity & Non-Classroom Rate: $34.60 to $46.96 per hour depending upon education and experience
