Professional Summary: The Policy Operations Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the Policy Operations team by executing wrap-up tasks related to Stop Loss New Business and Renewals. This position ensures the accuracy and integrity of data across multiple systems that impact billing, commissions, reporting, and contract creation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and thrives in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. This role requires strong technical proficiency and a collaborative mindset to support internal teams and maintain operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities: * Contract & Document Creation (60%): Prepare contracts, certificates, administrative agreements, amendments, and schedule pages for in-force Group Life, Disability, and Self-Insured Medical Stop Loss policies. * Data Validation & System Updates (10%): Review submitted documents and system data (PASR/ESL), identify discrepancies, and make necessary corrections to ensure data accuracy. * Workflow Management (10%): Organize and prioritize daily work assignments, ensuring timely communication and adherence to deadlines and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). * Knowledge Development (10%): Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, processes, and company rules related to policy setup, renewals, revisions, medical underwriting, and system administration. * Customer & Team Support (10%): Provide responsive service and support to internal departments including Premium, Commission, Underwriting, Claims, and Field Sales/Service. * Ensure data integrity across systems impacting billing, commissions, reporting, and contract creation. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve operational workflows. Qualifications: Required: * High School Diploma * Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment * Proficiency in PDF creation and editing * Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access * Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines * Self-motivated with strong organizational and prioritization abilities Preferred: * Experience in group life, disability, or medical insurance * Familiarity with policy administration systems (PASR/ESL) *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
