PEMEX Deer Park is seeking a Payroll & Reporting Analyst to manage payroll and benefits administration for both union and non-union employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a seamless employee experience. You will serve as a trusted resource for employees while also contributing to HR operations, reporting, and strategic initiatives. You will apply your expertise in payroll processing, benefits programs, and 401(k) compliance to maintain high standards of service and compliance. To succeed as a Payroll & Reporting Analyst, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, with 5–7 years of payroll processing and HRIS administration experience.
  • Solid knowledge of payroll tax regulations, labor law compliance, and union/non-union payroll structures in manufacturing or refinery environments.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems, Excel, and data analytics tools, with the ability to reconcile complex payroll data accurately.
  • Solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage confidential information and partner across functions.
  • Ability to be on-site at PEMEX Deer Park at least three days per week, with travel within the refinery as needed.

 

As a Payroll & Reporting Analyst, you will:

  • Lead full-cycle payroll processing for union and non-union employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and proper handling of taxes, deductions, and reporting.
  • Administer employee benefits and 401(k) programs, including enrollments, contributions, compliance testing, and vendor management.
  • Reconcile payroll data, manage audits, and prepare year-end reporting in coordination with Finance and external partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll, benefits, and compliance-related inquiries, supporting employees across the organization.
  • Drive process improvements, reporting, and analytics to enhance compliance, efficiency, and overall employee experience.

PEMEX Deer Park is a highly complex refinery located 18 miles east of Houston in Deer Park, TX. It is part of the Pemex group, a fully integrated oil company in the Americas, working across the entire value chain: exploration, production, industrial processing/refining, logistics, and marketing. The refinery’s rated capacity is 340,000 barrels per day and has the feed flexibility to process multiple grades of crude oil to produce high-quality transportation fuels the world needs. The Pemex site is co-located with other 3rd party chemical facilities, allowing for further integration and optimization of the refinery and its products.
