Compensation & Benefits Analyst

 

PEMEX Deer Park is seeking a Compensation & Benefits Analyst to play a key role in shaping the refinery’s total rewards strategy for a workforce of about 1,000 employees. You will manage compensation, benefits, and HR systems while advising leaders on competitive pay practices and employee value propositions. You will apply your expertise in compensation design, benefits administration, and HRIS implementation to ensure seamless HR operations, compliance, and a strong employee experience.

To succeed as a Compensation & Benefits Analyst, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, or related field, with 7+ years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits, and HRIS.
  • Solid experience in HRIS implementation or system upgrades, with advanced skills in Excel, HRIS platforms, and compensation modeling tools.
  • Solid knowledge of federal and Texas-specific employment and benefits laws, with experience in manufacturing, energy, or refinery environments preferred.
  • Effective communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills, with the ability to meet time-critical deadlines and work across functions.
  • Ability to be onsite at PEMEX Deer Park at least three days per week, travel within the refinery as needed, and lift to 15 pounds; CEBS, CCP, or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.

 

As a Compensation & Benefits Analyst, you will:

  • Design, manage, and benchmark compensation programs, including job evaluation, pay structures, and incentive plans for all employee levels.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, leave of absence processes, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (ERISA, HIPAA, ACA).
  • Oversee HRIS implementation, integration, and reporting, developing dashboards to track compensation, benefits, and workforce data.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and leadership to align total rewards programs with business strategy and workforce planning needs.
  • Provide guidance, analytics, and communication on compensation, benefits, equity, and internal mobility to support informed decision-making and employee experience.

PEMEX Deer Park is a highly complex refinery located 18 miles east of Houston in Deer Park, TX. It is part of the Pemex group, a fully integrated oil company in the Americas, working across the entire value chain: exploration, production, industrial processing/refining, logistics, and marketing. The refinery’s rated capacity is 340,000 barrels per day and has the feed flexibility to process multiple grades of crude oil to produce high-quality transportation fuels the world needs. The Pemex site is co-located with other 3rd party chemical facilities, allowing for further integration and optimization of the refinery and its products.
