You'll collaborate with IT professionals, analysts, and academic leaders to ensure our data infrastructure meets the growing demands of higher education and global discovery. What You'll Do:
Architect, implement and manage enterprise data platforms, including data warehouses and/or data lakes. Guide day to day data operations as well as contribute to new data projects. Design robust data models and data flows to support ETL/ELT pipelines. Collaborate with the business to translate business needs into modeled solutions. Champion metadata management and operational processes. Influence data strategy and architecture across a leading medical campus. Work in a hybrid technology environment - technologies in the cloud and on-prem. Enable education, research, healthcare and community engagement through robust, scalable, secure enterprise data infrastructure. Work Location: |
Hybrid - This position is eligible for a hybrid work environment. AMC IDEA strives for a high-flex work environment, meaning although this role may predominately be executed effectively with a remote schedule, we would like an on-campus presence of once a month where in-person meetings and/or activities are needed. If out of state, it would be at the employee's expense. The work schedule will be based around core working hours in Colorado Mountain Time. |

Qualifications: |
Minimum Qualifications: Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, General Business or closely related field
Experience:
7+ years' experience in data modeling, data architecture, enterprise modeling with relevant experience with one or more enterprise databases and cloud platforms including familiarity with database performance analysis and tuning.
Enterprise Databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, Google, Snowflake)
5+ years' experience with ETL/ELT map development and maintenance (Informatica, DataStage, Azure Data Factory, dbt, Fivetran, Snowpipes)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's preferred in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics or related field Experience with SQL server and/or Oracle architecture and database administration, security, provisioning, and permissions Experience with project management methodologies like Agile, Scrum, Waterfall and proficiency with project management software Familiarity with Oracle Peoplesoft, Ellucian Banner, Workday or similar ERP Experience in higher education especially with data warehouses, data lakes, and ERP applications strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated experience with report development, data visualization or business intelligence/analytics technologies Strong understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence and experience proficiency in data modeling techniques (e.g. Inmon, Kimball Star schema, Snowflake, 3NF) Knowledge of creating, maintaining, and evolving data models utilizing enterprise ERD tools (e.g. ERStudio, Erwin) Knowledge of one or more data transformation, integration and engineering tools and technologies (e.g. Informatica, DataStage, Azure Data Factory) Knowledge of job scheduling tools, dependency logic and stored procedures Proficient in SQL/PL SQL Query language as well as other data related languages (e.g. Python, R) Familiarity with BI systems architecture and BI toolsets (e.g.SAP Business Objects, IBM Cognos, Tableau, MS Power BI) Familiarity working within project management frameworks like Agile and waterfall and providing project technical thought leadership Working knowledge of role-based, database security in higher education environments

Anticipated Pay Range: |
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $145,000 - $155,000. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
