Quality Engineer III Farr West, UT Job Summary: Assists the Quality Manager in maintaining Company Quality System, identify and implement job requirements and preparing any quality related planning.
Essential Functions:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Minimum Requirements: Four-year degree in a technical field and four years of quality engineering related experience in a fabrication and machining environment such as working with codes, standards and specifications, auditing, SPC, preparing procedures and other quality related documents, inspection, NDE. (8 years of quality engineering experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
Essential Mental Functions: Must be proactive and be able to evaluate quality conditions. Must be able to work diplomatically with employees and customers. Essential Physical Functions: Must be able to work in a fabrication and machine shop environment and be able to climb on parts and machinery to perform inspections and evaluate their conditions. Safety Requirements:
Equipment Used (but not limited to): Desk top PC (Must be proficient with a PC using database, spreadsheet, and word-processing software such as Access, Excel, and Word.) Precision dimensional inspection equipment. Availability:
Travel: Approximately 10% travel. Must be available and willing to travel as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs. Working Conditions: Primarily in office setting with some involvement in typical fabrication/machine shop surroundings.
