Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst to play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. This strategic and hands-on role partners with stakeholders across the organization to define requirements, optimize business processes, and ensure the successful delivery of scalable, sustainable, and integrated technology solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in enterprise systems, application integrations, and IT infrastructure, paired with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Partner with business and IT stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Analyze current systems and processes to identify improvement opportunities and integration needs.
- Translate business needs into user stories, use cases, and detailed technical specifications.
- Lead projects involving enterprise application integrations (APIs, middleware, data exchanges) across platforms and external vendors.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, performance standards, and security policies.
- Facilitate solution design workshops and cross-functional collaboration.
- Develop business process documentation, workflows, data flow diagrams, and system maps for current and future state designs.
- Support vendor evaluations, RFP processes, and technology implementation planning.
- Contribute to quality assurance and user acceptance testing by defining test cases and validating system functionality.
- Monitor and evaluate post-implementation performance to drive continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the development of business analysis standards, best practices, and documentation frameworks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA is preferred).
- 5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, with a focus on enterprise systems and integrations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Hands-on experience with business process modeling, requirements elicitation, and solution documentation.
- Solid understanding of API integrations, middleware, and system interoperability.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure components such as networks, servers, cloud platforms, and security protocols.
- Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, and MS Office.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience with enterprise platforms (i.e., ServiceNow, Salesforce, SAP, Workday) is a plus.
- Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other data analysis/reporting tools is advantageous.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and modern DevOps practices is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, ITIL, or TOGAF is highly preferred.
